Amanda Gorman
22 year old Amanda Gorman became the youngest poet to read at the presidential inauguration on January 20th. “For there is always light if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to see it." This painting is based on a picture of her taken at the inauguration. As she started to speak, the sun came out and she was such a ray of sunshine with her yellow coat. I love the placement of her hands as it embodies her poise. She had such a deep impact on me with her strong and poignant words.
